This oil is specific to BMW and there is no equivalent oil for Xdrive available on the market.
Due to the specific additive of this oil, when emptying the Xdrive box, you must shake the can vigorously for at least 15 seconds.
As the BMW Xdrive transfer case is heavily used, it is necessary to drain it regularly otherwise it will be destroyed.
The transfer case is equipped with a clutch controlled by a servomotor which almost continuously adjusts the torque distribution between the front and rear axle of the vehicle, which places heavy demands on the components of the transfer case, in particular the clutch discs as well as as the lubricant which degrades and accumulates residue.
